WHO IT'S FOR
Who it may suit.
For travellers who want to explore breath as part of mindfulness, yoga or meditation, or try a guided group practice.
AWARENESS
Guided practices that use breath rhythm and body awareness to create a more intentional pause.
THE EXPERIENCE
Breathwork covers guided practices focused on breathing rhythm, awareness and bodily sensation. Some methods are gentle and meditative; others are substantially more intense. At W.E.T., the useful distinction is not the label itself but the exact method, pacing, supervision and intended outcome of the session.
WHO IT'S FOR
For travellers who want to explore breath as part of mindfulness, yoga or meditation, or try a guided group practice.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Methods can include slow breathing, diaphragmatic awareness, rhythmic breathing or yoga-based pranayama. “Breathwork” is not one standardised technique, so method and intensity should be explicit.
CHOOSING WELL
Look for facilitator credentials, the named method, session duration, whether hyperventilation or prolonged breath-holds are involved, beginner suitability and participant screening. A credible description should explain intensity and contraindications rather than relying on broad promises about release, detoxification or transformation.
HEALTH & SCOPE
Breathwork is not medical or psychological treatment. Fast breathing, long breath-holds and intensive techniques can cause dizziness or discomfort and may not be suitable in some health situations.
