STILLNESS

Meditation

Space for attention, quiet and a more deliberate relationship with the present moment.

THE EXPERIENCE

What it means at W.E.T.

Meditation-led escapes place practices of attention — to breath, bodily sensation, an object of focus or the present moment — at the centre of the daily rhythm. Approaches may include mindfulness, guided practice or periods of silence.

WHO IT'S FOR

Who it may suit.

For travellers who want distance from everyday stimulation, a more consistent awareness practice or quiet time in nature.

WHAT TO EXPECT

What may be included.

Formats range from short guided sessions to repeated daily practice, silent periods and mindful nature walks. A full silent retreat is a different proposition from a hotel’s daily mindfulness class.

CHOOSING WELL

What to look for.

Clarify daily practice time, silence rules, facilitator background, group size, suitability for beginners, amount of solo time and available support.

HEALTH & SCOPE

Know the boundary.

Meditation is not a substitute for psychotherapy or psychiatric care. Intensive or prolonged silent practice may not suit everyone.

VERIFIED PROGRAM CONNECTIONS

Programs to explore.

Only structured programs already verified in the W.E.T. source inventory are shown here. Scope, dates and availability should be reconfirmed for your travel dates.
